ready to transform your approach to supporting neurodiversity?

hi there!

We're going to be real with you — life up until we realised we were neurodivergent was really, really hard. Given that we've always been people with huge, creative ideas and overflowing passion for the things we were interested in..

It was particularly difficult to figure out why we felt like we were navigating life on player level: HARD compared to our peers.

We're (thankfully!) in a very different place than we were two years ago, but let's begin by taking a trip down memory lane…

  • Similarly to how we work together today, we supported each other through the ups and downs of university, where we first met. After leaving uni, Mia began her 10+ year career in design and branding. Jess' unwavering fascination with behaviour and psychology extended into her varied work in both business development and the charity sector. Our skills, strengths and struggles combined have translated beautifully into what we offer today.

Without the struggles, I Am Paying Attention categorically would not exist. We were trying relentlessly to succeed in traditional employment; pouring energy into various time management styles, methods of organisation, lifestyle and mindset shifts to no avail. Nothing freed us of the seriously negative impact on our mental and physical health. After being fired from several jobs, and our self esteem taking a battering, we came to a realisation.

  • It turns out that we just didn't really know how to work with our brains — and given that nobody around us had enough knowledge on neurodivergence to give us the right support either, there were never many solutions. If we were struggling while we had each other's support, we knew there were absolutely a lot of other people in the same position.

  • Fast forward to three years later and we've sold over 15k of our workbooks worldwide, have been featured in the times, the guardian & worked with the bbc. Together, we've built a community of over 100k people & signed a book deal with a major publisher. However you put it, we're worlds apart from wherever we thought we'd be three years ago.

During our adventures in the working world post realisation, we've had the opportunity to assess not only why traditional work environments weren't working, but also implement what did. Given all of our experience, the host of conversations with our community and mostly, a considerably healthier approach to work, we put our heads together and launched something that we think has the ability to change lives.

  • Whether it's a power hour or intense management training & consultancy, we're now working with employers & employees to create a more neuro-inclusive culture for all! We're particularly excited at the prospect of helping more people understand how working in ways that better cater to everyone's needs produces better results and much, much happier employees.
